“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away.”
My all time favorite quote, who’s authorship eludes the internet, seems to best describe my approach towards life. The experience often being more important than the outcome or the gain. If you choose to follow along with me I look forward to sharing with you some breathtaking moments, interesting stories, and the knowledge I acquire, as I skirt the edge and adventure beyond my own boundaries.
There are many life experiences that you could say might qualify me for this endeavor. Life has evolved, as it does, through my nearly 50 years on this earth and some of the many things I have been known as include: a product of the 80’s, only child, latch key kid, young mother, waitress, retail worker, glorified babysitter, healing victim of abuse, twice divorced three times married compassionate caregiver, animal loving spiritual being, empathic camping hiking nature worshiping Acadian descendant, antique appreciating resale store owner, housewife to a family of 7, single mother of an only child, step-mom, Nini, artist, lover, abandoned daughter, pizza delivering mail carrier, supervisor, talented writer, retired Postmaster, biological mother of three but nurturer to many, shy spontaneous outgoing reserved optimist, peace keeper, organized planner, introverted feeling intuitive independent woman, dancer, singer, volunteer, techie, stage manager, actor, director, Board Vice President, geocacher, explorer, rules breaker, boundary pusher, aesthetics attuned decorating addict, stylist, photographer, knowledge seeking empty nester, homeowner, gardener, creative problem solver, perfectionist, wine loving crazy cat lady and nerd from a small Texas Gulf Coast town full of astronauts and rocket scientists.
